USGS Outreach and Education Program

The mission of the U.S. Geological Survey's Outreach and Education Program is to educate data users in the use and application of USGS products and services. In support of that mission, the program:

• Instructs educators in the use of geographic information systems in the curriculum.
• Provides data and materials to support the teaching with GIS in the curriculum.
