What is a Hardware Key# ?

Your hardware Key number is a number printed on the usb or parallel port hardware key. The number is 8 digits long and starts with "371". The hardware key is connected to the computer that is running the license manager for ArcGIS.

There are at least three ways to determine this number:

1. Visually look at the hardware key connected to computer
   
   
2. You can also find this number in the license file that was sent to you via email. This file must be stored somewhere on the same computer that is running the license manager. It has a file extension of .efl9 and the file name will contain the hardware key number.
