Exclusionary Mask |
We identified certain areas in the study area that we thought should be excluded from our model. Some areas, such as conservation lands, were excluded because they are not likely to be developed. Other areas, such as water bodies and roads, were excluded because it is not possible to develop the area these features cover. |
The exclusionary mask was applied to the final Urban Development Pressure surface. Wherever there are black areas on the exclusionary mask, there are white areas on the final "Urban Development Pressure" surface. |
