Course Objectives:
The Spatial Database Design and Development course will focus on advanced GIS data concepts and practices. Students will explore techniques for data creation, quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC), conversion, storage, manipulation, and presentation. The students in URP 6341 will learn how to automate data management and QAQC through programming and other tools from ESRI including Arc Macro Language (AML) and Open Development Environment (ODE). Methods for presenting data through ArcPlot, ArcView and the World Wide Web will be taught.
