- Metadata Collector, An ArcView extension from the NOAA Coastal Services Center.
- Metadata Tools for Geospatial Data, Good summaries of most of the known metadata tools for documenting geospatial data.
- Metadata Tools Survey, Lists the available metadata tools as of April, 1998; and the necessary operating systems, software requirements, compliance with FGDC standards, and links to download them where applicable.
- Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF) State Forests GIS Data, Download the free ArcView Extensions made by the ODF: XTools (feet/acres default), Xtoolsmh (meters/hectares default), and Projector_ol.
