FEATURE ATTRIBUTE TABLES CODES AND VALUES:

Item
Item Description
OBJECTID Internal feature number.

Shape Feature geometry.

SSA_ID Character string of the form "SSA_##" providing an identifier for the SSA designations. Since a given SSA can be located in more than a single county, a concatenation of the SSA_ID and the FIPS code are needed to establish a unique database key. Where polygons are provided for streamflow zones or other special features related to the SSA designations, the SSA_ID takes the form of SSA##a, SSA##b, or SSA##b. An example for an SSA designation involving 3 polygons areas is: SSA46a Edwards Aquifer II (Austin Area) SSA - Streamflow Source Zone 53 FR 20897 (1988); SSA46b Edwards Aquifer II (Austin Area) SSA -Recharge Zone 53 FR 20897 (1988); SSA46c Edwards Aquifer II (Austin Area) SSA - Artesian Zone 53 FR 20897 (1988).
SSA_001 thru SSA_078 = Related to time of designation

FR_ID Character string of the form "## FR #### (YYYY)" providing an identifier for the Federal Register citation for the SSA designations. Attribute_Definition_Source: Computed based on SSA_IDs developed for the Drinking Water Mapping Application and information in Federal Register Notices and GIS attributes in polygons supplied from the EPA Regions.
Character = Character value

AQUIFER Originally named SSA_NAME. The name of the SSA taken from the Federal Register and corresponding to a given SSA. The name will contain information related to the streamflow zone or other special features related to a specific polygon.
Character = Character value.

DESCRIPT Based on the field AQUIFER.

FGDLAQDATE The date FGDL acquired the data from the Source.

DOTDIST FDOT District Number

FK_REGION Corresponds to FK_REGION for FDOT District from S_REGIONS layer

AUTOID Unique ID added by GeoPlan

SHAPE.AREA Area in meters

SHAPE.LEN Perimeter in meters

The Florida Geographic Data Library is a collection of Geospatial Data
compiled by the University of Florida GeoPlan Center with support from
the Florida Department of Transportation. GIS data available in FGDL is
collected from various state, federal, and other agencies (data sources)
who are data stewards, producers, or publishers. The data available in
FGDL may not be the most current version of the data offered by the
data source. University of Florida GeoPlan Center makes no guarantees
about the currentness of the data and suggests that data users check
with the data source to see if more recent versions of the data exist.

Furthermore, the GIS data available in the FGDL are provided 'as is'.
The University of Florida GeoPlan Center makes no warranties, guaranties

provided by the data sources. The University of Florida GeoPlan Center

A note about data scale:

Scale is an important factor in data usage. Certain scale datasets
are not suitable for some project, analysis, or modeling purposes.
Please be sure you are using the best available data.

1:24000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the
county level.
1:24000 data should NOT be used for high accuracy base mapping such
as property parcel boundaries.
1:100000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the
multi-county or regional level.
1:125000 scale datasets are recommended for projects that are at the
regional or state level or larger.

Vector datasets with no defined scale or accuracy should be
considered suspect. Make sure you are familiar with your data
before using it for projects or analysis. Every effort has been
made to supply the user with data documentation. For additional
information, see the References section and the Data Source Contact
section of this documentation. For more information regarding
scale and accuracy, see our webpage at:

DATA LINEAGE SUMMARY:
GeoPlan Center downloaded the US EPA National Sole Source Aquifer
layer from the following US EPA website via Internet Explorer:
https://edg.epa.gov/clipship/

GeoPlan created a selection box that included the
State of Florida (1).

Next GeoPlan used the Select Data (2) section of the EPA Clip N Ship
to choose the following:
     EPA Office of Water
          OW Sole Source Aquifers

Next GeoPlan Selected a Vector Format (3) of File Geodatabase (.gdb)

Next GeoPlan Selected a Raster Format (if needed) (4) of File Geodatabase (.gdb)

Next GeoPlan Selected Spatial Reference (5) of WGS 1984

Next GeoPlan Selected the Download button.

Next GeoPlan Extracted the zipfile with the data.gdb

Next GeoPlan Reprojected the OW_Sole_Source_Aquifers
File Geodatabase feature class (WGS 1984) to FGDL Albers.

Next GeoPlan Converted the File Geodatabase feature class to .SHP

Next GeoPlan added and populated the following fields; DESCRIPT and FGDLAQDATE
Process Date: 20120824

GeoPlan used ArcGIS Desktop 9.3.1 to perform identity command with the following 2 layers: Input = epassa_mar11 Identity = dotbnd During this operation the dotbnd did not fully cover epassa_mar11 in a few areas along the Atlantic Coast. These polygons were dissolved back into their adjacent epassa_mar11 polygon. Some polygons overlapped in the source epassa_mar11 layer, these polygons were dissolved back into their proper source polygon as well. The result was named epassa_notificiation_mar11. An FK_REGION field was added and populated based on matching S_REGION.FK_REGION for corresponding FDOT District. Process Date: 20151215
