DATA LINEAGE SUMMARY:

Data for individual MPOs were collected from the MPOs, state DOTs, and other government agencies. Data were received in a variety of geospatial data formats. The Federal Highway Administration and BTS collected the individual MPO files, digitized raster images where necessary and reformatted geospatial data files to fit into a national database. Data collected from the above-listed agencies was not edited or altered in any way. If you have questions about the process steps for particular MPOs or regions, please contact BTS. Process Date: 2009 GeoPlan received this dataset on DVD in August of 2009. When received the dataset was country wide and in the following projection: GCS_WGS_1984. Records were selected where "MPOSTATE" = 'FL' to select only features in Florida and exported. The dataset was then projected to GCS_North_American_1983_HARN. - All records in the table were upcased. - Added DESCRIPT based on MPO_NAME - Added FGDLAQDATE based on date received from source - Renamed file mpobnd_2009 from mpo Process Date: 20090902 Received updated mpo boundary from sis in June 2010. Modified mpobnd_2009 to match the sis boundary. There were 4 polygons that needed to be modified (st. lucie, martin, north central, fl/al). Renamed from MPOBND_2009 to MPOBND_JUN10 Process Date: 20100614 The LAKE-SUMTER MPO boundary was modified by GeoPlan to include all of Sumter and Lake counties. The Sumter County linework was added based on geometry from the FGDL layer CNTBND. This edit was made based on the suggestion of yvonne.arens@dot.state.fl.us - Statewide MPO Liaison. Process Date: 20101029 The CRTP MPO boundary was modified by GeoPlan to include all of all of Wakulla, Leon, Jefferson and Gadsden counties. This edit was made based on the suggestion of yvonne.arens@dot.state.fl.us - Statewide MPO Liaison. Updated population field based on 2000 population taken from the CNTPOP_2009 FGDL layer for the following two MPO's: lake/sumter = 263872 crtp = 320304 Process Date: 20110322 The North Florida TPO boundary was modified by GeoPlan to include all of all of Nassau, Duval, Clay, and St Johns counties. This edit was made based on the suggestion of yvonne.arens@dot.state.fl.us - Statewide MPO Liaison. Linework for these counties was taken from FGDL Layer CNTBND. Process Date: 20110922 The CHARLOTTE COUNTY - PUNTA GORDA MPO boundary was modified by GeoPlan to include a small portion of SW Desoto County. This edit was made based on the suggestion of yvonne.arens@dot.state.fl.us - Statewide MPO Liaison. Linework for this edit was taken from FGDL Layer URBAN_APR07 where NAME = NORTH PORT - PUNTA GORDA and it intersected DESOTO COUNTY. Process Date: 20111107 The boundary between METROPLAN ORLANDO and LAKE-SUMTER MPO was edited to follow the same boundary for Orange and Lake Counties as represented in CNTBND_JUL11. This small edit can be seen in the NW corner of Orange County. Process Date: 20140618 The HERNANDO COUNTY MPO was changed to HERNANDO/CITRUS COUNTY MPO and the boundary for Citrus County was added to the MPO. The FGDL CNTBND_JUL11 was used to add Citrus County linework to the existing Hernando County MPO. Removed old relic fields that came from BTS.
