GeoPlan received this dataset from the Florida Forestry Service in August 2016. The data was downloaded in shapefile format in the Albers Conical Equal Area projection. After bringing in the dataset, the following steps were taken to process the layer: - A DESCRIPT field was added based on DOF_NAME - A FGDLAQDATE was added baed on the date received by GeoPlan - AREA, PERIMETER, OBJECTID, and OBJECTID1 fields were deleted - File renamed state_forests_buff_jul16 from FFS_Current_1607 - All fields were upcased Buffer analysis was run using DOF_NAME as dissolve and 3 miles as buffer distance. Buffer areas with a DOF_NAME of "OUT PARCELS" were removed. Final shapefile renamed to STATE_FORESTS_BUFF_JUL16 Process Date: 20160802 |
