Florida 2070 Example

Three maps of Florida. The first, labeled Statewide 2010 Baseline, shows the development present in the state in 2010. The next, Statewide 2070 Trend, shows heavy development patterns across the state, particularly in Central Florida. The third, Statewide 2070 Alternative, shows less development, leaving more room for protected lands, particularly in the forms of corridors in the center of the state. Three pi charts indicate the amount of development, protected lands, agriculture, and other lands in each scenario. Notably, in the Trend 2070 chart, less than 1/3 is protected and roughly 1/3 is developed; in the Alternative 2070 chart, half is protected and just over a quarter is developed.
