ArcGIS Online

You can now use your GatorLink credentials to log into ArcGIS online (AGOL)! For access to AGOL, please choose below whether you are a student, instructor, or doing UF research.

Please read this important information about ArcGIS Online.

Students

Is your instructor using ArcGIS Online for your class? Then follow these instructions:
Sign INTO AGOL with YOUR GatorLink credentials

http://ufl.maps.arcgis.com > click Sign In > choose “University of Florida” > enter GatorLink Credentials

This will automatically give you AGOL access with the “Publisher” role and a credit budget of 1000.

What are credits?

Instructors

Do you want to use ArcGIS Online in your class?  Then follow these instructions:
  1. Create an ArcGIS Online login for yourself using your Gatorlink credentials. Go to:
    http://ufl.maps.arcgis.com > click Sign In > choose “University of Florida” > enter GatorLink Credentials
  2. Have your role elevated. After you have logged into AGOL at least once, ask your campus unit point of contact to elevate you to the Instructor role. (if you are not sure who your Point of Contact is, then please contact GeoPlan). As a professor, you don’t need to have your role elevated but it will add additional administrative features that will make it possible to look at content in the organization and administer groups.

Researchers and Staff

Do you want to use ArcGIS Online in your research?  In order to use AGOL for grant funded research you must be contributing to the cost of site license. For more information on cost, please see our FAQs. To get started with AGOL do the following:
  1. Create an ArcGIS Online login for yourself using your Gatorlink credentials. Go to:
    http://ufl.maps.arcgis.com > click Sign In > choose “University of Florida” > enter GatorLink Credentials
  2. Notify your point of contact that you are using AGOL for your research.

Are you the Point of Contact for your Department, College or Unit?

If you are the Point of Contact for your unit and you would like to perform administrative tasks for AGOL users in your campus unit. Please first create an AGOL login (using the above instructions) and then please contact GeoPlan.

For your campus unit to utilize the Esri Site license, you will need to pay the annual fee ($100 or $500 depending on level of usage) and have 1 person that is the Point of Contact. If your campus unit does not have a Point of Contact then please submit this form to request to become one.
