Center for Landscape Conservation Planning

The University of Florida Center for Landscape Conservation Planning (CLCP) is dedicated to applied research on land use planning and wildlife conservation. Its work includes the Florida Ecological Greenways Network (FEGN), the Florida Wildlife Corridor Project, and Sea Level 2040/2070. GeoPlan often collaborates with the CLCP in the production of geospatial data and applications to further goals of landscape conservation.

Florida Ecological Greenways Network (FEGN) Tools

The FEGN is a database of both public and private conservation lands representing the existing conservation network across Florida. The GeoPlan Center assisted with the development of the FEGN online tools below.

  • EcoCon Viewer: An online planning tool including more than 140 geospatial layers, empowering users to explore and analyze connectivity conservation opportunities.
  • FEGN Map Viewer: An online map depicting the FEGN and related data layers, highlighting key conservation priorities.
  • FEGN Dashboard: A dashboard showing the FEGN map and summarizing essential statistics regarding conservation in Florida.
  • CLCP Hub: A central hub for the CLCP on ArcGIS Online, compiling the Center’s tools and data in one place and sharing additional resources.

Sea Level 2040/2070

Sea Level 2040/2070 is a continuation of the GeoPlan Center’s 2006-2016 project, Florida 2070. The CLCP updated the project in 2023 in collaboration with 1000 Friends of Florida. More information is available here.
