2025 Year in Review

Happy New Year from the GeoPlan Center! Following an exciting 2025, we welcome you into 2026! Here’s a list of our highlights from 2025:

  • Added 240+ new or updated geospatial layers to FGDL
  • GeoPlan student assistants continued their academic and professional growth by:
  • Re-designed our ArcGIS Online page for ease of access and to provide more information
  • Undertook a significant cleanup project of the UF AGOL organization
  • Continued Center for Landscape Conservation Planning partnership
    • Launched the CLCP Hub on ArcGIS Online
    • Developed and enhanced to EcoCon and FEGN Dashboard
    • Participated in presentations and hands-on workshops with the CLCP team at the ESRI Southeast User Conference, Corridor Connect Summit, Florida APA conference, and Gulf to Atlantic Restoration Partnership (GARP) conference.
  • Further developed Pinellas Heritage Resources database
  • Updated our Sea Level Scenario Sketch Planning Tool
    • Added National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) SLR inundation depth layers and 2022 SLR scenarios
    • Updated base transportation layers and analysis, as well as flooded road segments
  • Congratulated two graduating students in the Online GIS Certificate
  • Began the process of updating our websites for ADA compliance
